<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Exodus 3;11&amp;12<div><br></div><div><b>11. &nbsp;But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?”</b></div><div><b>12. &nbsp;He said, “But I will be with you; and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought forth&nbsp;people out of Egypt, you shall serve God upon this mountain.”<br></b><br>Once upon a time, Moses thought it was his destiny to deliver the Israelites from the Egyptians, but no longer. &nbsp;Moses had not lost his fear of Pharaoh, not had he any confidence in the people of Israel&nbsp;accepting&nbsp;him as a God appointed&nbsp;leader.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;Moses was still&nbsp;a ‘Romans 7’ Believer. &nbsp;Like Paul, he was still thinking that knowing the will of God and doing it, are two separate things. &nbsp;Moses was still thinking that God expected him&nbsp;to do the will of God by his own power and status. &nbsp;Unlearning this,&nbsp;is the first and most needful lesson&nbsp;we must all&nbsp;learn in order to truly ‘walk by the Spirit’ according to the Law of the spirit/Spirit of Life IN Christ Jesus. &nbsp;(see, Romans 8;2)</div><div><br></div><div>Even though we have been&nbsp;forgiven, we remain afflicted with sin and a sinful nature. &nbsp;We repeatedly fail to fulfill our best intentions, just as Paul in Romans 7 realized. &nbsp;&nbsp;Even though the Holy Spirit and the Word have given us the gift of faith, we think faith is only for believing in Christ. &nbsp;We do not &nbsp;understand that the Holy Spirit has been given in baptism,&nbsp;so that we be ‘dead leather,’ indwelt by Christ Jesus. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>We have died with Christ, and been raised with Christ&nbsp;in holy&nbsp;baptism, so that we may by faith live now <b>IN</b>&nbsp;Him and THROUGH Him, no longer putting any trust in our own skills, abilities, or strengths. &nbsp;Dead with Christ, means surrender of all reliance upon self. &nbsp;Our Father desires us to be His own helpless children who look to Him entirely for grace to live now the life He has call us into.</div><div><br></div><div>When the Lord says to Moses, <i>“And this will be a sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought forth the people Out of Egypt, You shall serve God upon this mountain.” &nbsp; </i>God is teaching Moses and&nbsp;us all that His&nbsp;presence and power&nbsp;is confirmed to us only AFTER we,&nbsp;in ‘fear-filled faith’,&nbsp;obey Him.</div><div><br></div><div>Faith is by&nbsp;its’ very nature, ‘Going forward fearfully, without visible material provision.’ &nbsp;<i>“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, The conviction of things not seen.
