<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Exodus 3;4-6<div><br></div><div><b>4. &nbsp;When the LORD&nbsp;saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him&nbsp;out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” &nbsp;And he said, “Here am I.”</b></div><div><b>5. &nbsp;Then he said, “Do not come near; put off your shoes from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”</b></div><div><b>6. &nbsp;And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” &nbsp;And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.<br></b><br>God warns Moses, <i>“Do not come near;” </i>the ground, the earth upon which Moses was standing was <i>“holy ground.”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>Two things are to be noted here. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>First, It is always dangerous to approach God. &nbsp;God is, and to this day remains,&nbsp;a devouring fire. &nbsp;No unclean thing is ever allowed into His presence.</div><div>The High Priest of Israel could not enter the presence of God in the Most Holy Place, (the inner tent where the Ark of the Covenant and the Mercy Seat of God was), without wearing the priestly robes and bringing&nbsp;the atoning blood of the sacrifice&nbsp;to be sprinkled upon&nbsp;the Mercy Seat.</div><div>Without our&nbsp;robe (of Righteousness, Isaiah 61;10) and&nbsp;blood of the sacrifice, (the Lamb of God, Jesus the Christ), we also could never approach God.</div><div><br></div><div>Second, although the earth itself was cursed for the sake of Adam’s sin, (Genesis 3;17-19)&nbsp;God has the power to cleanse and make holy even that which once&nbsp;was cursed. &nbsp;</div><div>So too,&nbsp;with our own sinful selves, we are promised, <i>“You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.”</i></div><div>(Leviticus 19;1&amp;2)</div><div>Note also: Holiness is imparted not to all the earth, but to the ‘place’ where God is. &nbsp;We enter into the place and presence of the most holy LORD God, by the name of God, Father Son and Holy Spirit. &nbsp;We may enter into the very presence of God by the power of his name anywhere on earth. &nbsp;His name is the <i>“Blessing” </i>which is come to all peoples. &nbsp;Not just ‘Jesus’, but the name, <i>“Father Son and Holy Spirit.” &nbsp;</i>This <b><i>is</i>&nbsp;</b>the name&nbsp;<b><i></i></b></div><div>which brings us into the presence of God, this is ‘the Blessing’ come to all peoples. &nbsp;The Father Son and Holy Spirit are Undivided Unity,&nbsp;one God, one LORD.</div><div><br></div><div>Remember, Jesus teaches us in the Lord’s Prayer, <i>“hollowed be Thy name.” &nbsp;</i>We have been baptized into that name.</div><div><br></div><div>Up to this point, Moses&nbsp;only knew about God, he had never been in God’s presence. &nbsp;God identifies Himself as the God who makes&nbsp;Promise to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel (Jacob).</div><div>He is teaching Moses that He is the God of the Promise; to bless, multiply, give a homeland, (and through them) become a blessing to all peoples.</div><div><br></div><div>The removal of shoes is a condition of humility and vulnerability. &nbsp;Even today, many people remove their shoes at the door of a home, so as to not track in any uncleanness, so it was with Moses.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, You have cleansed and made us holy unto You, the LORD. &nbsp;Bless us with reverent faith to believe in Your own indwelling presence through Jesus by the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;Bless us to be ever mindful that by Your name, given to us in holy baptism, we are to continually walk in holiness to Your glory. &nbsp;&nbsp;By Your Word, Spirit, and abiding presence, keep us ever in Your Most Holy Name. &nbsp;In Jesus we pray, <span>Amen.</span></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad, Baba, Eric, Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His.”</div><div><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
