<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Exodus 1;18-22<div><br></div><div><b>18</b>. &nbsp;<b>So the king of Egypt called the midwives, and said to them,”Why have you done this, and let the male&nbsp;children live?”</b></div><div><b>19. &nbsp;The midwife said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and are&nbsp;delivered before the midwife comes to them.”</b></div><div><b>20. &nbsp;So God dealt well with the midwives; and the people multiplied and grew very strong.</b></div><div><b>21. &nbsp;Because the midwives feared God he gave them families.</b></div><div><b>22. &nbsp;Then Pharaoh&nbsp;commanded all his people,” Every son that is born to the Hebrews , you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.”</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>God blessed the Hebrew midwives, even though they lied to Pharaoh. &nbsp;This is something to remember if ever you are confronted with direct earthly&nbsp;evil which commands you to sin (such as when you are a prisoner of war). &nbsp;To everything there is a time and&nbsp;season, even lying! &nbsp;Do not forget though that Peter openly<span>&nbsp;and&nbsp;</span><span>directly defied &nbsp;the high priest saying, </span><i>“We must obey God rather than man.” &nbsp;</i><span>(Acts 5;29). There is also a time and a season&nbsp;to risk your life for the love of God.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Notice what was God’s reward to the midwives?
