<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 15;14-16<div><br></div><div><b>14. &nbsp;I&nbsp;myself, am satisfied about you, my brethren, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.</b></div><div><b>15. &nbsp;But on some points, I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given me by God</b></div><div><b>16. &nbsp;to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the G</b><b>entiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.</b></div><div><br></div><div>We are reminded that Paul has been writing primarily to the Jewish Christian Church in Rome. &nbsp;He has been <i>“reminding” </i>the Jewish church that there is only one Body of Christ, to which the Gentiles also belong.</div><div><br></div><div>The Jewish church quite naturally shares such a rich history, tradition, and knowledge of the Old Testament, that they tend to gravitate toward one another. &nbsp;This is not wrong, but it does not serve the will of the Father.</div><div>The Gentiles are also purchased and won to Christ, they are Brethren also.</div><div><br></div><div>How does this truth impact denominationalism in today’s Christian Church? &nbsp;How can we with united voice praise our God? &nbsp;Is it through compromise of doctrine? &nbsp;No, it is through a witness of the Holy Spirit at work in every Believer, which joins us&nbsp;heart to heart in Christian love, even as we remain divided on important points of doctrine. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>It is better that we worship in separate churches, acknowledging our points of disagreement AND humbly striving to together still see God the Holy Spirit at work in each other. &nbsp;Whenever possible, we are to struggle to find the pure Truth of the Word, and pray God give us humility to yield to Him and His Truth, rather than&nbsp;hide&nbsp;behind denominational labels burdened by party spirits.</div><div><br></div><div>I love how Paul has such confidence in the working of God the Holy Spirit through the Word to continue to grow the Kingdom of God in us and through us.</div><div><br></div><div>We must not ignore our disagreements and differences, our devotion to pure doctrine must never be compromised, but we maintain&nbsp;our fidelity to pure doctrine in the Spirit of love in Christ Jesus, with patience and forbearing.</div><div><br></div><div>In this life, we remain imperfect, yet we are perfectly loved and sanctified by the grace of God. &nbsp;Humble hearts are forever in process of being conformed to the image of Christ. &nbsp;The day is coming when our oneness and unity will be perfected. &nbsp;In the mean time, we await our Lord in faithful devotion to His Truth as we by grace understand it. &nbsp; We must never yield to fear or false appearances, or&nbsp;set aside one tiny facet of this treasure entrusted to us. &nbsp; The love of God at work in us gives us boldness to stand firm in the Gospel and the whole counsel of God.
