<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Romans 12;9-11<div><b><br></b></div><div><b>9. &nbsp;Let love&nbsp;be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good;</b></div><div><b>10. &nbsp;love one another with brotherly affection; &nbsp;outdo one another in showing honor.&nbsp;&nbsp;</b></div><div><b>11. &nbsp;Never flag in zeal, be a glow with the Spirit, serve the Lord.&nbsp;</b><br><br>What an amazing and wondrous little word: <i>“let.”</i></div><div><i><br></i></div><div>It means, ‘allow’ or ‘yield to the desire of another.’</div><div>&nbsp;Who is this ‘other’ to whom we are to ‘permit’ their desire or will to be done? &nbsp;It is<span>&nbsp;Christ Jesus himself&nbsp;at work in the</span><span>&nbsp;new-man, through the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span></span></div><div><br></div><div>We are the <i>“workmanship of God,”</i>&nbsp;the born-anew man, indwelt&nbsp;with&nbsp;Christ by the Holy Spirit.</div><div>His mind and will is to live for the glory of the Father. &nbsp;It is this Mind of Christ that we are to yield to.</div><div><br></div><div>In verse 9 and all of the next few verses the Lord through&nbsp;Paul is urging and exhorting&nbsp;the new man to recognize the passive nature of the obedience of the faith. &nbsp;To ‘let’ or ‘allow’ is to by faith&nbsp;yield to a will and a strength which is not our own. &nbsp;This is why all glory belongs to the LORD God alone.</div><div><br></div><div>Such thinking and living&nbsp;is a good definition of, ‘walking by the Holy Spirit.’ &nbsp;We live in newness of life, as we by faith believe in the&nbsp;grace&nbsp;the&nbsp;Father has&nbsp;given us&nbsp;through Christ by the Holy Spirit. &nbsp;This grace&nbsp;animates our good works.</div><div><br></div><div>We are not forced or driven to do good works, we humble allow the goodness of God to work through us.</div><div>Good works are like fruit which grows out of the nourishment of the Word as we&nbsp;believe&nbsp;we now&nbsp;live&nbsp;in intimate&nbsp;communion with our Lord Jesus.</div><div><br></div><div>Prayer: &nbsp;Merciful Father, bless us to know all good works are Your work, not ours. &nbsp;We praise You Father that in ‘yoke’ with Jesus, it is His own divine&nbsp;strength which&nbsp;is doing&nbsp;the work. &nbsp;His yoke is easy, His burden is light.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;‘IN’&nbsp;Jesus we pray, Amen.</div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div>Dad/Baba/Eric/Grandpa Pickle Pastor</div><div>“A chapter a day, every day, progressively, be transformed, ‘soak’ in the living Word. &nbsp;God’s Word is our habitation, and we are His!”</div><div><br><br><div><a href="https://mail.onelink.me/107872968?pid=nativeplacement&amp;c=Global_Acquisition_YMktg_315_Internal_EmailSignature&amp;af_sub1=Acquisition&amp;af_sub2=Global_YMktg&amp;af_sub3=&amp;af_sub4=100000604&amp;af_sub5=EmailSignature__Static_" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></a><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>


Romans 12;9-11
9.  Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good;10.  love one another with brotherly affection;  outdo one another in showing honor.  11.  Never flag in zeal, be a glow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. 

What an amazing and wondrous little word: “let.”
It means, ‘allow’ or ‘yield to the desire of another.’ Who is this ‘other’ to whom we are to ‘permit’ their desire or will to be done?  It is Christ Jesus himself at work in the new-man, through the Holy Spirit.  
We are the “workmanship of God,” the born-anew man, indwelt with Christ by the Holy Spirit.His mind and will is to live for the glory of the Father.  It is this Mind of Christ that we are to yield to.
In verse 9 and all of the next few verses the Lord through Paul is urging and exhorting the new man to recognize the passive nature of the obedience of the faith.  To ‘let’ or ‘allow’ is to by faith yield to a will and a strength which is not our own.  This is why all glory belongs to the LORD God alone.

Prayer:  Merciful Father, bless us to know all good works are Your work, not ours.  We praise You Father that in ‘yoke’ with Jesus, it is His own divine strength which is doing the work.  His yoke is easy, His burden is light.   ‘IN’ Jesus we pray, Amen.
