<html><head></head><body><div><div><div><div><br></div>Mark 13;9-11<div><br></div><div><b>9. &nbsp;“But take heed to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils; and you will be beaten in synagogues; and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear testimony before them.&nbsp;</b></div><div><b>10. &nbsp;And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div>The increased amount of prosecutions of individual&nbsp;Christians, Christian ministries (hospitals and schools), Christian businesses, and churches,&nbsp;is another sign that we may well be in the last of the last days.</div><div><br></div><div>Western civilization has been and is now&nbsp;under attack by false religions and godless nations in ever increasing and blatant ways.&nbsp;The spreading of the&nbsp;Gospel was for several centuries actually considered a&nbsp;central purpose&nbsp;of what western civilization was all about. &nbsp;Even though no nation today portrays itself as having a mission to spread the gospel (as many Western European, Great Britton,&nbsp;the United States,&nbsp;and Canadian n<span>ations once did) sadly, they no longer do. &nbsp;Yet Satan’s hatred for the church knows no limits.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>When Jesus uses the phrase, <i>“they will deliver you up” </i>He is preparing us for overt government and other false&nbsp;religious&nbsp;oppressions.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>All of this, God Himself allows for one reason, not to punish us, but to bless us with wonderful opportunities to be witnesses for Christ Jesus and the Gospel. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>This is the very purpose of the Church on earth, which&nbsp;Paul was inspired to foretell,</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><i>“To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace&nbsp;was given, to preach to the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all men see what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things; <u>that through&nbsp;the Church,</u>&nbsp;the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.
