But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and hurtful desires, that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith, and pierced their hearts with many pains.”</i></span></div><div><span>(1 Timothy 6;6-10)</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Notice in verse 24, that Jesus clarifies&nbsp;his original statement in verse 23, saying, <i>“ those who <u>trust</u>&nbsp;in riches.”</i><i></i></span></div><div><span><i><br></i></span></div><div><span>Great riches are&nbsp;a snare&nbsp;to the wealthy. &nbsp;Man’s weak sinful heart is easily tempted to trust in them rather than in the promises of God and in God Himself. &nbsp;</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Great and&nbsp;good things can be done with riches, if our hearts are already rich with the love of God. &nbsp;For by the love of God we see riches as a way to show God’s love, doing good works.</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>But the foolish&nbsp;fail to understand that earthly riches cannot give&nbsp;eternal life. Mark 10;23-27
